The Campus Orchestra is a symphony orchestra based at the Levin Music Conservatory in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. The orchestra was founded in 1982 by Dr Sam Zebba who was its first conductor. The approximately seventy five members comprise volunteer players of all ages and from all walks of life. The orchestra has a rich repertoire that includes programs from the Baroque, Classic, and Romantic periods, as well as 20th-century composers such as George Gershwin and Leroy Anderson. Many of the soloists and guest conductors invited to perform with the orchestra are renowned internationally. The orchestra tours Israel extensively, playing to audiences in small towns, kibbuzim, universities, and other venues such as the Weizman Institute. In addition, the orchestra performs regularly at music festivals around the country, and in 2005 was invited to play in the National Theatre on the island of Rhodes.
